INTRODUCTION

SAWADA ICHIGO CAFE serve desserts and drinks made with Chiba-grown Benihoppe strawberries. The signature dish, Kezuri Ichigo (P380), is made by shaving frozen Benihoppe strawberries and combining them with Hokkaido-grown cream.

Since opening in December 2023, we have been serving desserts made with Japanese strawberries to the people of the Philippines.
We are very happy to hear many people say “Masarap!” and we are working on developing menus that will delight even more people. We will continue to work hard every day with the motto “Japanese strawberries in the everyday life of the Philippines!” We appreciate your continued patronage.

We started growing domestic strawberries, “Benihoppe,” on March 16, 2015. We have built a unique environmental management system that visualizes and standardizes ICHIGO’s production techniques, making it possible to always reproduce the same quality. We currently produce 100 tons of “strawberries” per year at our farm in Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture. The birth of our own in-house produced ICHIGO began with the desire to “make people happier by eating truly delicious ICHIGO.”

The Philippine Mitsukoshi Mall & Opus Mall locations offer desserts and drinks made with Chiba Prefecture Benihoppe strawberries. Their signature dish, Kezuri Ichigo (P380), is made by shaving frozen Benihoppe strawberries and combining them with Hokkaido cream. Other dishes include Ichigo Milk (P350) made with strawberry confiture and dishes made with rare white strawberries, making it a must-have for strawberry lovers. This is the perfect cafe for casual meals and dessert time with family and friends.

Both stores use Hoshizaki products for all their refrigeration and freezing equipment. As our raw material is expensive frozen strawberries, there is a high risk of loss if they thaw. Considering this, the biggest advantage is that there are almost no breakdowns.

Even if a breakdown does occur, there is a rapid support system by a specialized team, so repairs and emergency treatment will be carried out on the same day. Including aftercare, when it comes to refrigeration and freezing equipment for developing a restaurant business in the Philippines, there is no other choice than Hoshizaki products.
